Holding hands, symbolising connection and care for cancer support - Cancer Counselling sydney

Grief and Bereavement Counselling & Somatic Therapy – Bondi Junction, Sydney (Online Australia-wide)

Each person's experience of grief is unique. Using person-centred counselling and somatic techniques, we explore how loss shapes your experience, using dialogue, mind-body awareness, and compassionate witnessing. This approach fosters coping, insight, and resilience, helping you navigate bereavement in adaptive and restorative ways.

Who this helps

  • You’re experiencing grief from a significant loss — such as the death of someone close, the end of a relationship, or a major life change.
  • You’re noticing ongoing secondary losses, like changes in identity, social roles, daily routines, or sense of security, which continue to affect your life.
  • You feel stuck in repetitive thoughts, emotions, or behaviours related to these losses.
  • Waves of sadness, numbness, intense emotions, or a lack of physical energy impact your daily life.
  • You feel disconnected from your body or emotions and long to feel more present.
  • You want tools to cope with bereavement in the moment, calm your nervous system, and respond in a way that's helpful to you.

How I Work As A Bereavement Counsellor

We start by acknowledging that your grief experience is entirely unique and respond to it with care and understanding by supporting you, whether it means integrating loss, re-engaging in life, or simply being present with your emotions.

Using person-centred counselling and somatic techniques, we accompany you as we explore how loss shapes your experience through dialogue, mind-body awareness, grounding, and compassionate witnessing.

This approach fosters coping, insight, and resilience, helping you navigate bereavement in adaptive and restorative ways.
